The scholarship academic program of the theta sigma chapter of phi sigma sigma is set up to recognize sisters for success in their academic studies. Smartie awards are given as needed at meetings throughout the semester based on a taking a test, any academic breakthrough, and helping another sister academically. Awards are also handed out at a Scholarship Awards night once a year, recognizing Chancellor’s list and Dean’s list achievements There are also two group study hours each week which are open to any sister who wants a structured time for her studies.

 
    Sisters who do not meet a minimum grade requirement are placed on the scholarship improvement program. This program requires study time as well as grade monitoring of the sisters throughout the semester. The goal of this program is to recognize any problems and to address them as early as possible as well as providing a resource and extra support to sisters who may be struggling with their studies
